Who Are We and What Do We Do?
Montero Therapy Services is a therapist-owned and operated practice and online membership platform providing training, education and support to physical, occupational and speech therapists, therapy managers, MDS Nurse/Coordinators and administrators working in the short-term rehab and long-term care settings. We are based in the Capital District Region of Upstate New York and have the privilege of serving members in all 50 states. Our goal is to ensure professionals have the most up-to-date tools and resources to comply with the ever-changing regulations while maintaining the delivery of quality care.
We have had an active long term care consultant practice since 2000, as well as a private practice serving the local geriatric community for 28 years. We are a team of therapy and MDS professionals with a reputation based on quality and compliance, here to partner with you for success.
As our company has grown over the years we made a conscious decision to keep our name – Montero- in the company title. Why? Well, we have found that our peers take value in knowing that there is a real person behind the name…a person leading a team who they can form a professional relationship with, depend on and receive 110% from. Using our name reflects the personal individualized service you will receive, whether you are an individual therapist or a facility client. We are partnering with YOU to give you what you need, and YOU know exactly who WE are. We have an excellent team of therapists and MDS professionals who will partner with you to help you achieve your goals. Our name depends on it!!
Why Do We Do It?
After 25+ years in the trenches, juggling practice, management and regulatory compliance, we decided something had to give in order for our sites and clients to maintain compliance….and sanity. The rule changes were coming in faster than ever and at the sites we visited and therapists we met with it became evident that HELP was needed.
Therapists were met with growing expectations of productivity that limited their time for continuing education and for keeping up on the newest regulations….Therapy managers were looked upon to manage staff, schedules and therapy minutes… MDS Coordinators were now faced with PDPM, coding and skilled documentation… Administrators were left wondering if their team was on target…
So WHY do we do what we do?
We are caregivers at heart, dedicated to the residents, to our professions and our colleagues that strive to provide the best care for the geriatric population. By helping our peers, we are helping our residents!
