Know Your Stuff!
As licensed professionals, it is our responsibility to know the rules and regulations required of us in the setting we practice in. Sure, as therapists and assistants working in long term care, we are bombarded with regulations from multiple agencies. However, first and foremost, we must know the ins and outs of our State Practice Act. Our State Practice Act is the root of our practice from which we can then layer on additional rules for practice and reimbursement.
